Samajwadi Party MP Jaya Bachchan on Tuesday raised the issue of cleaning the hands by descending into the sewer in the Rajya Sabha and the deaths of the cleaning staff during this period. Jaya Bachchan said, many times there have been talk on the deaths of scavengers in the sewer. He said that it is a shame that we were not able to give protection to him and even today we are talking about his death.

समाजवादी पार्टी की सांसद जया बच्चन ने मंगलवार को राज्यसभा में सीवर में उतरकर हाथों से सफाई किए जाने और इस दौरान सफाई कर्मचारियों की मौतें होने का मामला उठाया है। जया बच्चन ने कहा, कई बार सीवर में सफाईकर्मचारियों की मौतों पर बात हुई है। उन्होंने कहा कि यह शर्म की बात है कि हम उनको सुरक्षा नहीं दे पाए और आज भी उनकी मौत के बारे में बात कर रहे हैं।
