The AIADMK strongman SP Velumani is crossing swords with DMK’s Karthikeya Sivasenapathy, who spearheaded the Jallikattu protests, in the predominantly agrarian Thondamuthur constituency in Coimbatore.
Karthikeya was recognized for his efforts in preserving the native breeds of cattle through his Senaapathy Kangayam Cattle Research Foundation, a non-profit organization.
