Netflix's anthology Ajeeb Daastaans teaser Out
The teaser of Netflix's anthology Ajeeb Daastaans is out, starring an incredible ensemble of Nushrratt Bharuccha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Shefali Shah, Konkona Sen Sharma, Jaideep Ahlawat and Abhishek Banerjee.
The official handle of Netflix India dropped the teaser on social media. Their post read,
“Not sure if we're more hyped for the big twists or the bigger cast #AjeebDaastaans ...”
The anthology of four strangely contrasting stories delves into fractured relationships and unexplored spaces. The stories set in varied milieus, explore jealousy, entitlement, prejudices and toxicity, which are often entangled within the heart of their relationships.
The teaser opens with Fatima Sana Shaikh seen as a new bride for her wedding night. It then goes on to show glimpses of Konkona Sen Sharma, who seems to be a powerful, strong-headed woman sipping tea and later consistently punching a man on his face.
In another clip, Aditi Rao Hydari is seen driving a scooty with Konkona riding pillion. Actress Nushrratt Bharuccha is seen as a sari-clad mother of a school-going girl and having fun with her. She is later seen being slapped by a policewoman, probably played by Konkona.
Shefali Shah is also seen in a hardly ever seen before avatar. Manav Kaul is seen sitting beside her and staring at something in one of the stills. Pataal Lok co-stars Jaideep Ahlawat and Abhishek Banerjee are also seen in the teaser but it's unclear if they are parts of the same story.
