Into The Wilderness

Into The Wilderness, is the first project of Wonderful Wander channel, a travel and adventure documentary vlog entertainment style program. The concept of this project is to create a series of films based on my journey from the moment I left the Philippines as an economic migrant or OFW. A modern day nomad always looking for a much more greener pastures. Although, I can't recreate the way of life I lived in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, my end goal is to showcase the rich culture and stories behind the people and community on this places that I've visited, interacted and embraced along the way.
After a 6 year hiatus from my filmmaking hobby, it took me overnight to create this movie trailer - Into The Wilderness, with technical hiccups involved. I used an iMovie template for this trailer and edited some categories in the storyboard and entered words or phrases which I'm happy to play around as I'm doing this just for fun at the moment. The one thing that I found difficult to edit were the credits. A one page name credit should be sufficient, or the page is not necessary, as this is obviously my own handiwork. Perhaps, I should have explored more in the middle of the night (but no, I wont allow this to take over my life). I can't believe it took me this long for a less than two minutes video. How much editing time would I need if I have to create a 10 minute short film or vlog? That I have no idea. I hope this first try after such a long time will accelerate my technical knowledge and skills in filmmaking as I relearn the process and reset my enthusiasm and endeavour in this entertaining pastime.
