Puducherry Assembly Elections: Former minister P Kannan joins BJP

Former Puducherry minister and veteran politician P Kannan, along with his son, joined the BJP on March 14 in New Delhi. P Kannan joined the party ahead of Puducherry Assembly elections. The union territory's Assembly was dissolved after the Congress government could not prove its majority following which the central government imposed President’s rule there.
