Kerala polls: BJP fields ‘Metro Man’ Sreedharan from Palakkad, state chief from 2 seats

Ahead of Kerala Assembly elections, BJP has fielded its new entrant, ‘Metro Man’ Dr E Sreedharan, from Palakkad constituency, while the state party chief K Surendran will contest from two constituencies - Manjeshwar in Kasaragod and Konni in Pathanamthitta, informed party’s national general secretary Arun Singh on March 14 while addressing a press conference in Delhi. “In Kerala, BJP will be contesting 115 seats and the rest of 25 seats will be left for 4 parties,” Arun Singh added. “Dr E Sreedharan will contest from Palakkad Assembly constituency. Former state BJP chief Kummanam Rajasekharan will be contesting from Nemom seat in Kerala elections,” he further said. The Assembly elections in Kerala are scheduled to be held in a single phase on April 6.
