Doc Rivers on Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons Being OUT of All Star Game Due to COVID
  • 3 years ago
Coach Doc Rivers was interviewed before the 2021 NBA All-Star Game. 76ers stars Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons came into close contact with COVID-19 and are being listed as out of the game tonight. It was announced earlier today that they would not being playing, after news breaking that they had come into contact with someone who tested positive. Rivers gives his thoughts on the matter, but states that their health is the most important thing. Zion Williamson will replace Embiid as an All-Star starter. He also goes on to joke about he was planning on playing Embiid for 30 seconds, but Giannis Antetokounmpo for 47 minutes. The All-Star Game tips off tonight at 8:00 PM EST.
