Shimla, the capital of Himachal Pradesh, has been ranked as the most eligible city to live in the Ease of Listing of 111 cities across the country with a population of less than 10 lakhs. The Ease of Living Index (for living) in the year 2020 assessed 111 cities. The city of Shimla has topped it. Himachal's Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj considers it a major achievement.

10 लाख से कम आबादी वाले देश भर के 111 शहरों की सुगमता सूची में हिमाचल प्रदेश की राजधानी शिमला को रहने के लिए सबसे अधिक योग्य शहर आंका गया है। ईज आफ लिविंग इंडेक्स (रहने के लिए) वर्ष 2020 में 111 शहरों का मूल्यांकन किया गया। इसमें शिमला शहर अव्वल आया है।हिमाचल के शहरी विकास मंत्री सुरेश भारद्वाज इसे एक बड़ी उपल्बिध मानते हैं
