Shiv Sena chief and Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray has taken a dig at the BJP and the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh, or the RSS, over Hindutva. He said that the people of the Sangh had not participated in the freedom struggle and now they cannot prove their patriotism by raising the slogan 'Bharat Mata ki Jai'. Uddhav Thackeray said in the assembly that why the central government did not honor the Bharat Ratna to Hindutva ideologue Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.


शिवसेना प्रमुख और महाराष्ट्र के सीएम उद्धव ठाकरे ने हिंदुत्व को लेकर बीजेपी और राष्ट्रीय स्वंय सेवक संघ यानी आरएसएस को आड़े हाथो लिया है. उन्होंने कहा कि संघ के लोगों ने स्वतंत्रता संग्राम में हिस्सा नहीं लिया था और अब वे ‘भारत माता की जय’ का नारा लगाकर अपनी देशभक्ति को साबित नहीं कर सकते। उद्धव ठाकरे ने विधानसभा में कहा कि केंद्र सरकार ने हिंदुत्व के विचारक विनायक दामोदर सावरकर को भारत रत्न का सम्मान क्यों नहीं दिया.
