An 85-year-old woman and her son, Gopal Majumdar, were allegedly thrashed by miscreants who barged into their house in West Bengal's North 24 Parganas district on Saturday.

Gopal Majumdar, who was allegedly thrashed over his affiliation with the BJP, has claimed that the miscreants were from the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC). However, he said he could not identify the culprits as they were wearing masks and "thinks" they were from TMC.

The TMC has rubbished the allegation claiming the saffron party is only trying to make a false narrative ahead of the assembly polls in the state to tarnish the ruling party's image. For more, watch the full video.
