Magh Purnima 2021: Today is Magha Purnima. Magha Purnima has special significance in Hinduism. On the day of Magha Purnima, all the sins of the person who bathes the Ganges and donate are erased. It is believed that on the day of Maghi Purnima, Lord Vishnu himself bathes in the river Ganges. Therefore, anyone who takes a bath in the Ganges on Magh Purnima gets all kinds of merit. It is said that worshiping in the auspicious time of Magha Purnima leads to the attainment of Baikuntha. According to Padmapurana, Lord Vishnu is not as happy in the rest of the months by chanting, austerities and bathing as he is by taking a bath in the month of Magha. In Magh month, apart from bathing, donation also has special significance. Donation of blankets, jaggery and sesame is considered to be the best in this month.

Magh Purnima 2021: आज माघ पूर्णिमा है। हिंदू धर्म में माघ पूर्णिमा का विशेष महत्व होता है। माघ पूर्णिमा के दिन गंगा स्नान और दान करने वाले व्यक्ति के सारे पाप मिट जाते हैं। मान्यता है कि माघी पूर्णिमा के दिन भगवान विष्णु स्वयं गंगा नदी में स्नान करते हैं। इसलिए माघ पूर्णिमा के दिन जो भी गंगा स्नान करता है उसको सभी तरह के पुण्य की प्राप्ति होती है। कहा जाता है कि माघ पूर्णिमा के दिन शुभ मुहूर्त में पूजा करने से बैकुंठ की प्राप्ति होती है। पद्मपुराण के अनुसार, भगवान विष्णु जप, तप और स्नान से बाकी महीनों में उतना प्रसन्न नहीं होते हैं जितना कि वे माघ मास में स्नान करने से होते हैं। माघ मास में स्नान के अलावा दान का भी विशेष महत्व है। इस महीने में कंबल, गुड़ और तिल का दान उत्तम माना जाता है।
