The date of assembly elections has been announced in five states including West Bengal. Election will be held in eight phases in Bengal. The Congress has welcomed the decision of the Election Commission. Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary has said that we have requested the Election Commission that the security arrangements should be made during the elections in West Bengal, so the Election Commission has decided that elections will be held in 8 phases in Bengal.

पश्चिम बंगाल समेत पांच राज्यों में विधानसभा चुनाव की तारीख का एलान हो गया है. बंगाल में आठ चरणों में चुनाव होगा. कांग्रेस ने चुनाव आयोग के फैसले का स्वागत किया है. कांग्रेस नेता अधीर रंजन चौधरी ने कहा है कि हमने चुनाव आयोग से गुहार लगाई कि पश्चिम बंगाल में चुनाव के दौरान सुरक्षा का इंतजाम ऐसा हो, इसलिए चुनाव आयोग ने निर्णय लिया है कि बंगाल में 8 चरणों में चुनाव होंगे।
