Sri Lanka’s Bid To Get Indian Vaccine - Cancels Pak PM’s Speech, Vaccine From China

In a bid to avoid straining ties with India, Sri Lanka has cancelled Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's speech to Lankan Parliament.
Pakistan PM’s visit to the island nation comes amid a strain in bilateral ties between New Delhi and Colombo after Sri Lanka pulled out of the trilateral East Container Terminal (ECT) Project with India and Japan.
Meanwhile, Sri Lanka has ordered 13.5 million Oxford AstraZeneca coronavirus vaccines in addition to the 500,000 doses gifted by India. According to reports. Sri Lanka may not use Chinese vaccines in the second phase of immunisation.
