The Punjab and Haryana High Court on February 24adjourned cases concerning the arrest of Dalit labour activist Nodeep Kaur till February 26. The plea moved by Kumar's father has now been adjourned to March 16 after the Court sought to peruse his earlier medical records. Meena Harris, an American lawyer & US vice president Kamala Harris’ niece, on February 6 had tweeted about the alleged sexual assault that a 23-year-old Dalit and labour rights activist had faced in police custody.
