Australia’s Tracey Spicer AM is an award-winning broadcaster, journalist and author. Tracey is best known for her work as a national news anchor, hosting shows for ABC TV, Network Ten and Sky News, as well as 2UE and ABC Radio. In that time she’s won multiple Walkley awards, was named the New South Wales Premier’s Woman of the Year, and accepted the Sydney Peace Prize alongside Tarana Burke for the Me Too movement.

In addition to the above, Tracey Spicer earned the national award for Excellence in Women’s Leadership through Women & Leadership Australia, and was co-winner of the Social Enterprise and Not-For-Profit category in the 100 Women of Influence Awards. In 2018, Tracey was named Agenda Setter of the Year by Women’s Agenda. For her media and charity work over the past three decades, Tracey was honoured with the Order of Australia.

Tracey Spicer is an honest, authentic, and outspoken person who advocates for equal opportunities for all. She has worked tirelessly to support women and marginalised communities in both their personal and professional lives.

Nearly ten years ago, Tracey became the inaugural national convenor of Women in Media, working with iSentia and others to produce groundbreaking research on the silencing of women’s voices. Later, she created a co-production between the ABC and what was then known as Fairfax Media to break Me Too stories in Australia. Her broadcast work can also be seen in the ABC TV documentary Silent No More.

For most of her life, Tracey Spicer has dedicated herself to pro bono work for not-for-profit organisations, travelling the world to do documentaries on women and girls in developing countries. Her progressive thinking has fueled her passion for equality and inclusion for all. She also ran a philanthropic project through an online book show called Wednesday Night Book Club, supporting writers, authors, and performers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tracey Spicer is an avid writer and reader. Her first book, The Good Girl Stripped Bare, became a bestseller within weeks of publication, and her TEDx Talk, The Lady Stripped Bare, has more than six million views globally.

When not focusing on her work, Tracey Spicer spends time on her hobbies and with her family. She enjoys yoga, Pilates, paddle boarding, reading, and gardening, in addition to spending time with her husband and two teenage children.
