These idols are made of clay, which can be easily drained in the water. The preparation for Ganesh Chaturthi idols begins at least four months in advance. An artist said, “We make idols of Lord Ganesha using clay and eco-friendly colours. They do not pollute rivers.” Ganesh Chaturthi is a Hindu festival that celebrates the birth of Lord Ganesha.
