Milkha Singh, arguably India’s greatest sporting icon celebrates his 90th birthday on November 20, 2019 (Wednesday). Singh was responsible for putting India into the limelight of individual athletic sports. His gold at the 1958 Commonwealth Games made his the first Indian to win gold at any individual world event. He represented India at three Olympic Games and is best remembered for his fourth-place finish in the 400m final at the 1960 Olympic Games.
