Khairy: Teachers and frontline media to be considered in first phase of Covid-19 immunisation

Teachers in the high-risk group and frontline media personnel are being considered to be among those to receive the Covid-19 vaccine under the first phase of the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, said Khairy Jamaluddin.
The Science, Technology and Innovation Minister said that on Sunday (Feb 21), adding that the request seems reasonable and fair seeing that schools will be opening this coming March.
Khairy also noted that the government will try to accommodate teachers, including some media frontliners, subject to availability of vaccine supply but also based on risk assessment.
