Tamil Nadu government has issued an order withdrawing a total of 308 cases registered against persons over the Jallikattu protests in 2017, in line with Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami's announcement made in the Assembly earlier this month.

CM had announced that those cases which are not serious offences will be dropped in relation to the cases filed during Covid lockdown, CAA protests and Kudankulam protests.
