Aaron was born in 1992 with spina bifida, a developmental birth defect caused by the incomplete closure of the embryonic neural tube. At his birth, doctors had predicted that Fotheringham wouldn’t be able to sit independently. Aaron is known to be the pioneer of WCMX (wheelchair motor-cross).
