Gearing up for the next edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL), former one-time runners-up Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) have opted to change the franchise's name and team logo on the eve of the players' auction for the upcoming season on Wednesday. The Punjab-based franchise was already in speculations about changing their club logo and name in the build-up to the new season.

इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग के 14वें सीजन में किंग्स इलेवन पंजाब की टीम बदली बदली नजर आएगी, क्योंकि फ्रेंचाइजी ने किंग्स इलेवन पंजाब का नाम बदलकर पंजाब किंग्स कर दिया है, नाम के साथ साथ टीम ने अपनी पुरानी लोगो भी बदल दी है। किंग्स XI पंजाब के फैंस नए नाम और लोगो से काफी खुश नज़र आ रहे हैं लेकिन हर किसी के ज़ेहन में यही सवाल है की आखिरकार पंजाब ने अपनी टीम का नाम और लोगो क्यों बदल दिया। टीम के लोगो और नाम में हुए बदलाव के बारे में टीम के कप्तान केएल राहुल ने बड़ा खुलासा किया है और कहा कि उन्हें लगता है कि थोड़ा बदलाव पंजाब की फ्रेंचाइजी के लिए भाग्य में बदलाव लाएगा। कप्तान के एल राहुल के साथ साथ टीम के विष्फोटक बल्लेबाज़ क्रिस गेल को भी यही लगता है।
