The Money Based Economy Creates Child Labour

The money based economy we live in today creates a massive amount of exploitation. This video features the exploitation of child labour. Children in The Congo are exploited year after year, risking their lives mining cobalt. Thousands of unsupervised mines in the DRC are packed with children working like slaves.
Children working 12 hour days for less than a dollar a day, doing dangerous work with no safety equipment in appalling conditions. They receive beatings for mistakes, and they breathe in cobalt dusk which damages their health. All of this would be considered human rights violations in so-called "1st world countries" but in The Congo multinational corporations from America and China are getting away with murder.
