A total of 192 students and 72 Workers were tested covid positive in a school in Kerala. This was reported in Maranchery Government School in Ponnani after one student was diagnosed with COVID. The state government of Kerala appealed the school administration to follow the covid 19 guidelines emphasizing that schools must implement Standard Operating Procedure more efficiently. The school's administration has asked all the students to stay in quarantine.

लॉकडाउन के बाद से देशभर में स्कूलों को बंद कर दिया गया था।1 जनवरी से केरल में 10वीं, और 12वीं के स्‍कूल दोबारा खुले थे. स्‍कूलों को बोर्ड एग्जाम्स की तैयारी के लिए खोला गया था. बोर्ड के स्‍टूडेंट्स प्रैक्टिकल्‍स के लिए स्‍कूल आ रहे हैं और सभी जरूरी दिशा निर्देशों के साथ ही क्लासिस चलाई जा रही हैं. इस बीच मल्‍लपुरम में दो स्‍कूलों में हुए कोविड 19 टेस्‍ट में 192 छात्र और 72 कर्मचारी कोविड-19 पॉजिट‍िव निकल आए है.
