Standing comedian Munavvar Farooqui, who was lodged in a jail in Indore in connection with alleged objectionable comments about Hindu deities, was released late on Saturday. He was in the jail under judicial custody for the last 35 days. After his late release, Farooqui said that he had full faith in the judicial system. The standup comedian was granted interim bail by the Supreme Court on Friday.

हिंदू देवी-देवताओं को लेकर कथित आपत्तिजनक टिप्पणियों के मामले में इंदौर की जेल में बंद स्टैंडअप कॉमेडियन मुनव्वर फारूकी को शनिवार देर रात रिहा कर दिया गया। वह पिछले 35 दिन से न्यायिक हिरासत के तहत इस जेल में बंद थे। देर रात रिहाई के बाद फारुकी ने कहा कि उन्हें न्याय व्यवस्था पर पूरा भरोसा है. स्टैंडअप कॉमेडियन को शुक्रवार को सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने अंतरिम जमानत दी थी.
