State govts also responsible for Petrol-Diesel price hike!

The biggest reason for inflation is - tax and both the central and state governments profit from it. With all kinds of taxes on petroleum products, the Center received Rs 3,34,315 crore in 2019-20, while Rs 2,21,056 crore went to the state. Now the question is when both the governments are equally responsible for the price hike, why state govt make a huge fuss about it?
