Farmers, mainly from three Indian states - Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh have been protesting against three new farm laws at various Delhi borders for over two months now. Their chief demands are withdrawal of three recent farm laws, which they argue would weaken the mandi system and favour corporate giants; and legal guarantee for the minimum support price procurement system.
