Budget 2021: If you deposit more than 2.5 lakh PF in a year, then interest will be taxed. In the General Budget 2021, there is a provision to set the limit of tax exemption for interest received on EPF and BhiPF. This means that interest on provident fund contributions above Rs 2.5 lakh in a year will now be taxed by normal rates.

आम बजट 2021 में ईपीएफ और भीपीएफ पर मिलने वाली ब्याज के लिए टैक्स छूट की सीमा तय करने का प्रावधान है. मतलब ये है कि एक साल में 2.5 लाख रुपये से ऊपर के प्रोविडेंट फंड कंट्रीब्यूशन पर मिलने वाली ब्याज पर अब नॉर्मल रेट्स से टैक्स लिया जाएगा.
