Jeff Bezos wants his girlfriend’s brother to pay his $1.7M legal fees

Jeff Bezos is seeking $1.7 million in legal fees from his girlfriend’s brother — who had filed a failed libel lawsuit against the billionaire over a nude photo scandal.
Michael Sanchez brought the defamation claim last February, saying Bezos defamed him by alleging he was the one who gave the National Enquirer sexually explicit text messages made by the Amazon CEO.
But a judge tossed the suit in November because there was a lack of evidence from Sanchez, who is brother to Bezos’ girlfriend, Lauren Sanchez.
Now, Bezos, in a request sent to Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, claims Sanchez harassed him and demands he pay his legal fees.
