Aakash Chopra predicts Rajasthan will not buy Glenn Maxwell in IPL 2021 Auction| Oneindia Sports

The champions of the inaugural edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the 2008 edition, Rajasthan Royals (RR), surprised many by releasing out skipper Steve Smith ahead of the IPL 2021 auction. The departure of Smith does leave the Royals devoid of a solid middle-order batsman. Though Smith's Australian teammate Glenn Maxwell fits the bill to some extent, former India cricketer Aakash Chopra isn't of the opinion that RR would go after him. Assessing the Royals' options ahead of next month's auction, Chopra expressed his opinion on the current squad and the sort of players the franchise needs in order to strengthen its roster ahead of the 14th edition of the league.

ज्यों-ज्यों आईपीएल की नीलामी सामने आ रही है. ग्लेन मैक्सवेल को लेकर चर्चाएँ और भी ज्यादा बढ़ रही है. वजह ये है कि इस छोटी नीलामी में कुछ जो बड़े खिलाड़ी हिस्सा लेंगे, उनमें बड़ा नाम ग्लेन मैक्सवेल हैं. पिछली बार किंग्स इलेवन पंजाब ने 10 करोड़ और 75 लाख में इन्हें खरीदा था. इस साल रिलीज कर दिया है. मैक्सवेल को लेकर आकाश चोपड़ा ने बड़ी भविष्यवाणी की है. आकाश चोपड़ा ने साफ कर दिया है कि, मैक्सवेल को राजस्थान रॉयल्स तो कम से कम नहीं खरीदेगी और उन्होंने इसके पीछे की वजह भी बताई. राजस्थान रॉयल्स ने अपने कप्तान स्टीव स्मिथ को रिलीज कर दिया था और उनकी जगह पर संजू सैमसन को टीम का कप्तान नियुक्त किया था.
