कांग्रेस की शीर्ष नीति निर्धारण यूनिट कांग्रेस वर्किंग कमेटी की शुक्रवार को बैठक हुई। इसमें संगठन के चुनाव, किसान आंदोलन और कुछ अन्य मुद्दों पर चर्चा की गई। इस बैठक में ये फैसला लिया गया कि कांग्रेस में अध्यक्ष पद का चुनाव इसी साल जून में कराया जाएगा। शुक्रवार को कांग्रेस वर्किंग कमेटी की बैठक में इसका ऐलान किया गया। इस साल कई राज्यों में होने वाले विधानसभा चुनावों के बाद कांग्रेस पार्टी संगठन का चुनाव करेगी, जिसमें अध्यक्ष पद का चुनाव सबसे अहम है।
