Alumacraft is one of the oldest, most successful names in aluminum boats. Its roots date back to 1893 and the company was an integral part of the war effort during World War II. Like many companies that expanded during the war effort, they turned their metallurgy skills to civilian manufacturing and specifically aluminum fishing and water sports boats. Their latest, the Competitor 185 FSX is the product of their 125 year heritage in metal works and 75 years in making aluminum boats.
