Flu Rates Drop Dramatically , Due to COVID-19 Precautions .
According to data from the
Centers for Disease Control (C.D.C.),
just over 1,000 cases of the flu were reported
in 2020 from Sep. through Dec.
In 2019, the C.D.C.
reported more than
65,000 cases of the flu.
I think it is quite striking to see just how much difference the COVID-19 precautions make as far as the transmission of respiratory illness, Dr. Joshua Kline, CMO Parkview Physicians Group,

We’ve really seen that pattern worldwide, not just in the U.S, Dr. Joshua Kline, CMO Parkview Physicians Group,

Doctors say the massive drop in flu cases means
that "people are doing a really good job of social distancing,
wearing masks, and washing hands.".
They also think that maintaining
some COVID safety measures
post-pandemic may continue
to mitigate cases of the flu.
I suspect we’ll see the flu come back next season, but maybe not to the extent it was when we weren’t taking any of those precautions, Dr. Joshua Kline, CMO Parkview Physicians Group,
