Gray langurs sit by a road while a Jungle cat lurks hidden in a grassland

A group of Gray langurs (Semnopithecus) rest on the ground near a roadside as a safari jeep passes by. Few peafowls also join the langurs foraging on the road. Gray langurs are highly adaptive and can live in dry arid conditions as well as semi-urban settlements. They are mostly herbivores and feeds on leaves, buds of plants. An unexpected presence, a Jungle cat (Felis chaus) is lurking in between tall grasses. The jungle cat hunts throughout the day but rests in thickets, reeds in the hot part of the day.
