One night on a lonely highway, a speeding car tosses a bag of money, into Jane and Alan Palmer's back seat. She insists that they keep the dough rather than turn it over to the authorities, Soon, the Palmers are traced by one Danny Fuller, a two-bit sleazy private eye who claims the money is his, and demands that she turn the cash over to him.
