Manoj Bajpayee gets IFI Survey of Top Critics' best actor award of 2020 for Bhonsle 

Indian Film Institute (IFI) Survey of Top Critics announced Manoj Bajpayee as the best actor of 2020 for his performance in the social-drama film ‘Bhonsle’. In his social media post, Bajpayee expressed his gratitude for getting the honour and he also thanked the entire cast and crew of the film.

Sharing a photograph from ‘Bhonsle’ on Instagram Bajpayee wrote,

‘Bhonsle’ is written and directed by Devashish Makhija. The film stars Manoj Bajpayee, who co-produced the film alongside Piiyush Singh in the titular role: a retired Mumbai police officer who befriends a North Indian girl and her brother who are targeted among other migrants by local politicians.

It also starred Ipshita Chakraborty Singh, Santosh Juvekar, and Abhishek Banerjee in key roles.

On the work front, Bajpayee will next be seen in the second season of Amazon Prime Video’s web series titled ‘The Family Man’. The espionage-action thriller is created by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna D.K. Starring Manoj Bajpayee and Priyamani, it tells the story of a middle-class man secretly working as an intelligence officer for the T.A.S.C, a fictitious branch of the National Investigation Agency.

‘The Family Man 2’ is scheduled to be released on 12th February 2021.

Manoj Bajpayee will also feature in Rensil D’Silva’s upcoming thriller-drama film ‘Dial 100’ along with Sakshi Tanwar and Neena Gupta.
