Those who are stranded away from their hometowns with valid reasons after the movement control order (MCO), which came into force at midnight, will be allowed to make interstate travel to return home, said Inspector-General of Police Abdul Hamid Bador said.

Hamid said police understand that many people might have gone out of town to visit family members or for vacation and could not return before the ban on interstate travel came into force today.
