India's External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr S Jaishankar virtually addressed the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) open debate on "International Cooperation in combating terrorism 20 years after the adoption of 1373" on Tuesday. This was the first time that minister Jaishankar made an intervention in the UNSC after India assumed temporary membership of the body on January 1, 2021. It is time for the world to commit to "zero tolerance" for terrorism, the External Affairs Minister said.
