Muhyiddin: No election, Parliament during emergency

Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said no elections will be held during the state of emergency while Parliament will not convene unless deemed necessary by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

Muhyiddin also noted that there were certain quarters pressuring him to call for an election during a pandemic in a veiled reference to Umno.

The premier said he cannot do so during a pandemic but assured that he will call for polls as soon as it is safe to do so.
