Actor Rajinikanth, who made a stunning about-turn and dropped his political plans last month, appealed to his fans today to stop pressuring him with protests and "not pain me again and again". The 70-year-old put out a statement on social media after his fans organised a protest yesterday urging him to withdrawn his decision to opt out of politics.

सुपरस्‍टार रजनीकांत ने एक बार फिर अपने फैंस से साफ कहा है कि वो राजनीति न जॉइन करने के अपने फैसले पर कायम हैं। चेन्नई में बीते काफी दिनों से लोग रजनीकांत को राजनीति में उतरने के लिए अपील करने के लिए प्रदर्शन करने लगे। फैंस ने यहां तक ऐलान कर दिया कि अगर रजनीकांत पॉलिटिकल पार्टी नहीं बनाते हैं तो वो आने वाले चुनावों में किसी के लिए भी वोट नहीं करेंगें।
