ANNUAL PERFORMANCE REPORT OF MADADGAR-15 FOR THE YEAR - 2020
KARACHI: The Madadgar-15 Police has been at the forefront against crime along with other law enforcement agencies. The Madadgar-15 has issued its annual performance report comprising Madadgar-15 actions throughout the year.
According to the report, from 1st January to 30th December - 2020, 3,494,133 calls were received out of which 793,868 calls proved to be prank / bogus. While, 2,700,265 complaints were dealt positively and timely.The Madadgar-15 arrested 474 accused involved in various crimes including street crimes and kidnapping incidents during the year. Later, the accused were handed over to the concerned police stations for further legal action.
In addition, 127 pistols, 138 motorcycles, 26 cars, 65 mobile phones, 78,550 rupees cash, watches, jewellery and other valuables were recovered from the arrested accused.
It is pertinent to mention here that Madadgar-15 is an important sub unit of Sindh Police which is being revived and is being set up as per modern requirements. After making some important changes on management and administration level, the Madadgar-15 response time has also been reduced to 07-10 minutes from 30-40 minutes inany emergency situation.
On this occasion, DIG Security and Emergency Services Division Maqsood Ahmed appealed to the citizens to avail the services of Madadgar-15 only in emergency situations.
