Celtics Contemplate Lineup Change at Practice
  • 3 years ago
The Celtics have gone two-big to start the season and while Brad Stevens thinks Boston has created space with Daniel Theis and Tristan Thompson playing together, the Celtics haven't defended at all through a 1-2 start. The team has allowed the highest FG% in the NBA, while collapses in transition occurred against the Bucks, Nets and Pacers.

"I thought we spaced really well with those guys at the start of the game ... we were generating good looks. I though they had a nice awareness to when to space, when to cut, how to space the floor for our guards, a couple things we're trying to do a little bit differently ... the hardest part for me is gauging is that more who we are, the start of the game with that group? Or is the start of the third quarter who we are, because they're two totally different stories ... we've got to get to be the best version of ourselves quick, I was hopeful that that lineup would be very good defensively, I'm still hopeful of that, but that said we have to have everything on the table."
