The 508-km Ahmedabad-Mumbai High-Speed Rail, popularly known as bullet train project, may start its operations in a phased manner and if the land acquisition is not delayed, the national transporter will commission the 325 km Ahmedabad-Vapi section in the first phase. Giving the details of the project, Railway Board Chairman and CEO VK Yadav said at a virtual press conference on Saturday that the Maharashtra government has "assured" the Railways that the remaining land will be provided for the bullet train project in the next four months.


देश का सबसे महत्वाकांक्षी बुलेट ट्रेन प्रोजेक्ट जमीन अधिग्रहण और राजनीति के पचड़ों में फंसता नजर आ रहा है। महाराष्ट्र में प्रोजेक्ट के लिए जमीन अधिग्रहण का काम लटका हुआ है। इसके साथ ही जिस ​बांद्रा कुर्ला कॉम्पलेक्स में बुलेट ट्रेन का ​​टर्मिनल प्रस्तावित है वहां पर भी शिवसेना की सरकार मेट्रो शेड बनाकर रोड़े अटकाने का प्रयास कर र​ही है। हालांकि केंद्र सरकार हर हाल में बुलेट ट्रेन को ट्रैक पर उतारने की कोशिश में जुटी है. महाराष्ट्र में बुलेट ट्रेन प्रोजेक्ट के लिए भूमि अधिग्रहण में देरी होती है तो रेलवे मुंबई-गुजरात बुलेट ट्रेन प्रोजेक्ट को चरणबद्ध तरीके से चलाने के लिए तैयार है.
