In a virtual address on Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi accused the West Bengal government of depriving farmers of the state of the benefits of Centre's Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. Responding to the allegations, Trinamool Congress MP Saugata Roy told India Today that the West Bengal government wrote to the Centre asking it to channel the funds to be distributed under this scheme to the state.
