Coronavirus: More countries ban UK travellers due to new COVID-19 strain

Canada has growing a list of countries banning travel from the United Kingdom in order to block a new strain of COVID-19 from entering their countries. The new variant is more contagious and is responsible for a wave of new cases in the U.K. There’s no evidence that it has reached Canada, but in Europe there is concern because people have been travelling over the holidays.
