South Korea's foreign ministry has named its new chief nuclear negotiator.
The ministry said Monday that Noh Kyu-duk, who was Secretary to the President for Peace Planning, is the new Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs.
He'll take charge of coordinating North Korean affairs policy and will represent Seoul in the six party talks on North Korea's nuclear weapons.
He takes over from Lee Do-hoon , who was the longest-serving top nuclear envoy, holding the position for three years and three months.
