Governments around the world have been posting record-breaking deficits to help their people and their economies get through the pandemic, but South Korea is projected to have one of the smallest deficits this year among the developed countries.
According to the OECD, Souh Korea's General Government Budget Balance this year will come to around 4-point-2 percent of GDP.
That would be the fourth smallest deficit in the developed world after Norway, Denmark and Sweden.
Back in October, the IMF projected South Korea to have a deficit of 3-point-7 percent of GDP, which would actually be the second smallest after only Cyprus.
