THAILAND FOOD AND BUDDHA FESTIVAL 2020 (CHAK PHRA)

G-Day Guys, I had to go and pick my daughter up from school and decided to drop in and check out this festival.
Boy I was surprised how how good the food was there a lot different for once then the usually night markets type set up, I picked my daughter up all that week and dropped in and grabbed different food every day.
The Boats from all the temples in Koh Samui were pretty impressive.
Chak Phra that takes place in Nathon town .
Make sure you come hungry because there is so much amazing food!
A LITTLE BIT OF INFO
The festival is to celebrate the return of Buddha from heaven to earth. During the monsoon months the lord Buddha retreats to heaven to preach to his mother in heaven. It is on the eleventh lunar month according to the Buddhist calendar. The phrase ‘Chak Phra’ means ‘pulling the Buddha’.
