Introducing Erik Berntsen

Erik Berntsen is an experienced financial professional and entrepreneur based in Aspen, Colorado. Throughout his more than ten years of experience, Erik has worked in various roles, including at the executive level. He currently has numerous business ventures and works as a business executive at The Burrell Group and his own company, Berntsen Investments.

At the start of his career, Erik had taken on roles in sales and marketing in the hospitality industry. In a short time, he was able to grow in his career and became the Director & Manager for Destination Hotels & Resorts before moving on to become the Sales and Marketing Director for Starwood Resorts Worldwide and HEI. Soon, Erik Berntsen became the Vice President of Sales and Marketing of West Coast Aggregate, LLC. Erik had learned many tactics and skills in these roles that helped him transfer to a career in finance.

Currently, Erik Berntsen is the Executive Vice President of The Burrell Group, a private equity firm located in Aspen. The company is made up of individual privately held companies managed and operated by Burrell Diversified Investments. Over the last ten years, the company has developed, repositioned, or restored over two million square feet of commercial office, multi-family, medical facilities, and student housing across the United States.

Erik is also an entrepreneur and is the Chief Executive Officer of Berntsen Investments, LLC, which he founded in 2015. The company is an investment management business, and Erik currently manages projects in the Mountain West region. Some of these projects include multi-family housing projects, student housing, and data centers for AI.

While Erik is exceptionally passionate about entrepreneurship and finance, he is also passionate about skiing. Erik Berntsen spent years working as a professional Men’s Mogul Skier for North America and the U.S. He was able to travel and live around the world through his career in skiing. After some time, he decided to become a coach while he also worked in sales and marketing. Erik spent four years as a coach, helping others improve their skills and their skiing careers. Although his career as a professional skier is over, Erik still works as a model for commercials and collateral throughout the mountain west.
