Will sit on dharna with farmers at Rohtak: BJP leader Birender Singh

A former union minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader has extended his support to the farmers' protest. Close to a month of the farmers' protest, voices of dissent are surfacing within the Haryana BJP unit against the farm laws. Former Union Minister and Rajya Sabha member Chaudhary Birender Singh, in a recent statement, created ripples in the political circles after he said the party and politics were secondary and he has always put the farmers and agriculture in the first place. "I was ready to lead the farmers if they approached me. Removing their doubts about the farm laws should be given priority as the farmers now feel that the laws are harmful to them," Birender Singh said in Kaithal.
