'Extremely worried': Indian farmers on why they are protesting against new laws

Following decades of growing paddy, mustard and corn together, farmers and brothers Ved Singh and Vijender Dhiya are now "extremely worried" for their eight children and two grandchildren.

They take their crop to sell at the local mandi, the state-run organisation that guarantees a minimum price. But the farmers fear the industry will be taken over by major firms who will force prices down and remove the Minimum Support Price (MSP) system, exposing them to potential sharp falls in income and without money to feed their families.
